An Oklahoma man, Elliott Binney, has been sentenced to a total of five years in prison following a tragic rollover accident that resulted in the death of his 16-year-old daughter, Shelby Binney. The sentencing took place on June 8, following Binney’s guilty plea earlier this year to charges including first-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, and two counts of child neglect.
The fatal incident occurred on January 11, 2024, when Binney was behind the wheel of a vehicle that rolled over, throwing his daughter from the car. According to police reports, emergency responders arrived at the scene to find Shelby severely injured and not expected to survive.
