On 10 June, Jay Allen and Renée Lynn celebrated their union in a private wedding ceremony held against the stunning backdrop of the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro. The couple, who travelled over 6,000 miles from their home in Phoenix for their special day, expressed that the intimacy of the occasion was precisely what they desired.

Allen, a former contestant on ‘The Voice’, described the day as a “blessing” and emphasised its significance as a personal celebration. “It was really important to us to have the wedding be private and just about us,” the 40-year-old singer stated in an exclusive interview. His bride, 39-year-old Lynn, echoed his sentiments, saying, “We loved getting the chance to have an intimate wedding that was just between us and God.”

Their approach to the wedding included many personal touches, reflecting their unique bond. Lynn curated a playlist featuring a blend of ’90s country and contemporary love songs for their walk down the aisle. A highlight of the playlist was “Hold Me Tight,” a song written by Allen especially for Lynn. The bride wore a wedding dress she had fallen in love with at first sight, having ordered it without trying it on first, which Allen confirmed fit perfectly.
The couple’s marriage vows were exchanged at the scenic Sveti Sava venue, providing a stunning seaside backdrop. Interestingly, the opportunity to marry there came about as Allen was performing on a Mediterranean cruise. He had been invited to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research, a cause close to his heart due to the loss of his mother to the disease.
The couple’s journey together began at a charity event in Scottsdale, Arizona, where they were first introduced. They reconnected in early 2025 and quickly fell in love, which led to Allen proposing on Christmas Eve in Phoenix, surrounded by family and friends.
After exchanging vows, the newlyweds returned to their cruise ship, where Allen performed a concert in aid of Alzheimer’s research. Lynn expressed admiration for her husband’s commitment to Alzheimer’s awareness and his desire to honour his late mother through his music. Their evening continued with a celebration alongside cruise guests, filled with joy and shared happiness.
Reflecting on the wedding’s planning process, Allen remarked on their collaborative effort, praising the assistance of the wedding planning company, Wedding Boom. While the couple did not have a traditional wedding cake on the ship, they celebrated with a selection of delicious donuts later that night.
In addition to their romantic celebration, Allen and Lynn are planning to host a reception in Arizona this autumn for family and friends. Lynn also hinted at the possibility of a honeymoon in South Africa once their schedules permit. They view their partnership not only as a marriage but also as a strong friendship grounded in loyalty and mutual support.
Both Allen and Lynn are committed to building a family together, with Allen actively taking on the role of a stepfather to Lynn’s two teenage children, CJ and Charly-Belle. He expressed his joy in this new role, highlighting it as a significant and rewarding aspect of his life. The artist even wrote a song titled “Stepdad” earlier this year to show his appreciation for his new family dynamics.
Professionally, the couple will continue working together, with Lynn managing Allen’s touring schedules. They both look forward to travelling the world, using their music as a platform to support various charitable efforts, particularly those related to Alzheimer’s care. Lynn praised Allen’s dedication to both his music and his family, noting that he handles all responsibilities with positivity and grace.
As they embark on this new chapter of their lives together, Allen and Lynn remain focused on their love and commitment to each other, as well as on their shared mission of making a difference in the world through music and philanthropy.
