**Tragic Stabbing of Actor James Handy: Suspect Charged with Murder**

A 44-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing incident involving seasoned actor James Handy outside a residence in Tarzana, California. Michael Gledhill, who has been identified as the son of Handy’s long-time girlfriend, faces severe allegations after the horrific events of June 3.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the family’s home on Erwin Street at approximately 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Handy unconscious and suffering from a stab wound to his chest. Despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Handy, known for his roles in films such as “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Jumanji,” “Arachnophobia,” and television series like “NYPD Blue,” was 81 years old.

Gledhill reportedly flagged down police officers at the scene, informing them that he was the suspect they were seeking. Following the incident, he was charged with one count of murder, with an added allegation that he had personally wielded a deadly weapon during the crime, namely, a knife.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J.
