The fire broke out at approximately 4 a.m. local time in the Rhue Street area of Conway. Firefighters from the Conway Fire Department arrived promptly at the scene, where they encountered a significant blaze. In the aftermath, three individuals were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, including Miracle and her daughter, Amiri, as well as a friend who was visiting at the time.

According to her mother, Nina Keith, Miracle was awakened that morning by the smell of smoke and the terrifying realisation of a fire consuming their home. In an immediate response, she ran downstairs to assess the situation before rushing back upstairs to rescue her toddler. “She had to run through the fire and smoke and all the heat to even get out,” Nina explained. “It was very terrifying.”
Miracle’s other daughter, Harmony, who resides in the adjacent apartment, also awoke to the scent of smoke. She discovered that the doorknob to Miracle’s apartment was scorching hot, a clear sign of the danger unfolding within. After successfully getting Amiri out of the building, Miracle reportedly “collapsed” from the smoke and heat, illustrating the severity of her efforts.
Amiri sustained second-degree burns on her extremities but has since been released from intensive care. However, Miracle faces a more precarious recovery, having suffered severe burns and smoke inhalation that have impacted her lungs. She remains hospitalised while medical professionals attempt to stabilise her condition and facilitate independent breathing.
The tragic fire has left the family with nothing; they have lost all their belongings in the blaze. A relative, Destiny Keith, has set up a GoFundMe campaign to assist the family during this challenging time. In her appeal, she stated, “Miracle is in more critical condition after doing everything she could to protect her daughter.” The fundraising effort has so far raised over £58,000, reflecting the community’s support for Miracle and her family.
Miracle’s bravery has garnered admiration from many, with family members expressing immense pride in her actions amid such harrowing circumstances. “We are so proud of her for having the courage and determination to do that,” Nina Keith told local news outlet WMBF.
As the fire department continues to investigate the cause of the fire, both the community and the family are focused on recovery and support for Miracle and her daughter. There has been no official response from the Conway Fire Department or the organisers of the GoFundMe regarding the ongoing investigation or details surrounding the fire’s origin.
As Miracle Keith fights for her life, her story serves as a powerful testament to maternal instinct and heroism, highlighting the lengths to which a mother will go to protect her child. The upcoming days will be crucial for Miracle, as she battles to regain her health and stability. The community’s outpouring of support reflects not only concern for the individual family but also a collective sense of solidarity in the face of adversity.
