The festival, held on March 7, 8, and 9 at the Hard Rock and Royalton resorts in Punta Cana, boasted a lineup that included other major acts like Primus, Mastodon, and Coheed and Cambria. However, it was Tool’s performances on the first two nights that drew criticism, as fans were surprised to hear four repeated songs during the second show, undermining the uniqueness promised by the band.

This discrepancy between expectation and reality left many fans feeling let down and seeking recompense for what they perceived as a bait-and-switch tactic.

The festival’s website detailed various package inclusions, such as accommodation, food and drinks, and transportation, with ticket prices ranging from $2,358 to $7,775 depending on preferences. Tool, comprising Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, Danny Carey, and Justin Chancellor, have a rich discography spanning five albums, with their latest release, Fear Inoculum, hitting shelves in 2019.
