JoJo Siwa has shared an update with her fans regarding her health after experiencing a challenging week that included a serious accident and a subsequent eye infection. In her post, Siwa, 23, appeared with a black eye patch, revealing that she had suffered a concussion following a fall from a golf cart. The incident occurred on May 25, when the cart’s wheel became stuck and lost control, throwing her off and causing her to land awkwardly on her neck and head. “I’m a mess,” Siwa remarked in her video, describing the events that led to her head injury.

Days following the accident, Siwa developed an eye infection, which she reported was a “gnarly” condition and, as per medical opinions, seemingly unrelated to her concussion. “They think it’s completely unrelated, but it’s certainly not what I needed on top of everything else,” she noted.
Despite the challenges she has encountered, Siwa maintained a positive outlook and expressed her gratitude that her injuries were not more severe. “I’m going to be fine. It’s just going to take a while,” she stated. “As unlucky as I am that it happened, I am very very lucky with how I came out of it.”
To aid her recovery, Siwa has been limited to light activities for no more than an hour each day. She has been taking this time to work on new merchandise for her website, specifically new bows, showcasing her commitment to her brand even while managing her health issues.
Siwa has consulted with three different doctors regarding her condition, and she remains cautious about her return to normal activities. She acknowledged the pressure to continue working, stating, “It’s definitely a bit early to be going back into everything… but the show must go on.” Despite this sentiment, she emphasised the importance of taking care of her health and being careful with her recovery process.
In her post, she also mentioned her upcoming participation in rehearsals for “Dance Moms: A New Era.” Siwa reassured her followers that if they see her wearing sunglasses, it is merely a measure to provide her eye with some much-needed relief. “I found the patch a bit difficult to manage with my concussion recovery, so I only wear it now if I need to completely block out light,” she explained.
In the midst of her health struggles, Siwa also celebrated a personal milestone, marking her first anniversary with boyfriend Chris Hughes on May 27. Reflecting on their relationship, she shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, expressing her love and gratitude for their time together over the past year. “The greatest gift I’ve ever received in life was 365 days ago,” she wrote, expressing joy about their journey together.
Siwa’s candid updates highlight not only her resilience in the face of adversity but also her continued dedication to her fans and her career. As she navigates her recovery, her positive spirit shines through, inspiring her followers to remain hopeful and optimistic in challenging times.
As she continues to heal, JoJo Siwa’s fans are left wishing her a swift recovery and eagerly awaiting more updates on her journey—both in health and in her ongoing career.
