Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has announced the return of its popular $6 Big Box menu across its outlets in the UK this summer. This initiative aims to provide customers with economical meal choices without compromising on flavour. Effective immediately, the value option includes a selection of either two pieces of Popeyes’ signature chicken or three chicken tenders, accompanied by two sides and a buttermilk biscuit.
The $6 Big Box is designed to deliver “satisfying meals at an accessible price,” reflecting the chain’s commitment to catering to the needs of its customers. The relaunch follows an earlier campaign in spring, which featured a budget-friendly chicken sandwich priced at £5.

In addition to the $6 Big Box, Popeyes is introducing a new $20 Family Meal. This larger offering includes 11 chicken tenders served with dips or a nine-piece serving of the original signature chicken. Moreover, the Family Meal package comes complete with a generous side and four delicious biscuits, making it a perfect option for families or groups looking for a hearty meal.
Popeyes continues to adapt its menu to align with consumer preferences, especially focusing on value during challenging times. Earlier this year, the chain refreshed its $5 Faves menu, which included a chicken sandwich option available from March 16 to May 3. This sandwich featured a marinated chicken breast, hand-battered and fried, complemented by pickle slices and mayonnaise on a toasted brioche bun.
The chain emphasised their mission in their promotional communication, highlighting how they strive to provide “premium, craveable Louisiana flavour” at competitive price points. They aim to encourage customers to re-evaluate what they consider a good deal within the fast-food landscape.
In addition to value offerings, Popeyes recently reintroduced Chicken Wraps, which gained a permanent spot on their menu starting May 4. The wraps are available in three different varieties: classic, spicy, and a new flavour known as Blackened Ranch. Each wrap features battered chicken tenders, fresh lettuce, shredded cheese, two pickles, and a buttermilk tortilla inspired by the brand’s famous biscuits. The different flavours come down to varying sauces, allowing customers to choose according to their preference.
Last year, the wraps were initially launched as a direct response to the popularity of McDonald’s snack wraps, implying a competitive strategy to keep customers engaged in the so-called “Wrap Wars.”
Furthermore, Popeyes recently unveiled two new sandwich options—the Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the Honey BBQ Bacon + Cheese Sandwich. The Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich features a Louisiana-inspired marinated chicken breast slathered in a rich Honey BBQ Sauce, while the Bacon + Cheese variant takes the original ingredients and adds crispy bacon and creamy Havarti cheese.
Popeyes is committed to keeping its menu fresh and exciting while also being mindful of affordability. With several new and returning items, the fried chicken chain is clearly focused on appealing to both loyal customers and newcomers alike, allowing for enjoyable, flavourful dining experiences that won’t break the bank.
In a landscape where budget-conscious dining has become increasingly relevant, Popeyes seems well-positioned to capture the attention of patrons looking for tasty options at a reasonable rate. With its strategic pricing and variety, Popeyes continues to carve out a niche in the competitive fast-food market, making it a go-to choice for chicken lovers this summer.
