González recently appeared on the podcast “In Your Dreams,” hosted by Owen Thiele, where she shared amusing anecdotes about her relationship with Dimitrov. The actress revealed that one of the most striking aspects of her boyfriend’s personality is his extraordinary attention to cleanliness. Comparing his meticulous habits to those of Marie Kondo, González jested about Dimitrov’s obsession with tidiness.

“He steams every piece of his clothing, like socks and underwear,” González laughed. “I’m like, ‘G, what’s going on here?’ He likes everything clean and tidy.” She further detailed that Dimitrov often finds himself folding clothes on the floor, reminiscent of Kondo’s famed organising techniques. González playfully commented on her messy habits, saying, “He has full heart attacks when he sees me,” referring to the contrast of her chaotic bag compared to Dimitrov’s orderly possessions.
Despite their differing attitudes towards organisation, González stated that the couple complements each other well. “It’s so funny because he’s just such a Taurus, and I’m just such an Aquarius,” she noted. “But it works, it really does.” Their unusual astrological pairing seemingly adds to the charm of their relationship.
The first public sighting of the couple took place in Madrid, where they were photographed hand in hand. Shortly afterwards, González took to Instagram to declare her affection for Dimitrov, posting a heartfelt tribute on his birthday in May 2025. In her post, she referred to him as her “absolutely favourite human,” solidifying their status as a couple.
During a film premiere in New York City for her latest project, “Fountain of Youth,” González spoke fondly of Dimitrov’s support and encouragement. “He’s so sweet. It’s just really lovely having someone who is so proud of you,” she expressed. The couple’s connection is further enriched by their support for one another’s careers, showcasing a partnership built on mutual respect and admiration.
González, however, displayed a humorous self-awareness when discussing her own tennis skills. “Not really,” she replied when asked if she had improved her game since dating the professional athlete. Recalling her younger days of taking lessons, she quipped, “My backhand’s not as great as his, so I’ll try to take some classes before trying to show him.”
Also during a red-carpet event for her film “I Love Boosters” in Los Angeles, González playfully referred to herself as a “WAG” (Wives and Girlfriends), despite her initial reluctance. “He makes fun of me,” she said, “but I guess I am. I’m so happy to share his success and I’m there for him no matter what.”
González expressed her pride in Dimitrov’s hard work, emphasising the admirable qualities she sees in him. “He’s such a hardworking man, and ultimately what I think is the best about him is his spirit,” she remarked. Her gratitude for their relationship is evident, with González affirming her commitment to support him, regardless of circumstances.
As the couple continues to navigate their public relationship, the balance between their busy personal and professional lives adds to their dynamic. The contrasting traits that González and Dimitrov possess seem to only enhance their bond, making it easier for them to embrace each other’s differences. With both individuals thriving in their respective fields, they appear to embody a refreshing modern relationship rooted in love, humour, and genuine respect.
