The competition is inclusive and open to dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. To take part, dog owners must upload a favourite photograph of their canine companion alongside important details such as the dog’s name and a brief description that reflects their pet’s uniqueness. As the contest progresses, one winning dog will be announced at the end of each voting period based on user input.
Each weekly winner will be awarded a Halo Collar, a feature that enhances their profile in the spotlight as PEOPLE’s Dog of the Week. Along with the honour, winners will have their bespoke PEOPLE-style cover featured across the app, People.com, and other editorial and promotional platforms associated with PEOPLE.
