British girl group FLO, comprising Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma, and Renée Downer, is gearing up for the launch of their eagerly awaited second studio album, *Therapy at the Club*, set to release on 24 July. As part of their promotional efforts, the trio has teamed up with Liquid I.V., a brand known for its powdered electrolyte drink mixes, to unveil a new campaign that highlights an unreleased song titled “Remedied.”

The campaign features a television advertisement where the group portrays wedding guests seeking relief from the heat with hydration. Reflecting on their experience with the drink during their busy schedules, the members spoke candidly about the importance of staying hydrated, especially after high-energy performances or rigorous rehearsals. Stella confirmed that Liquid I.V. has always been included in their tour rider, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining energy levels while on the go.
FLO has come a long way since their debut album, *Access All Areas*, which launched in November 2022 and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album. The upcoming album has already generated excitement with its lead single “Leak It” and the title track. In their conversation with *People*, the group discussed how they create a healthy dynamic amongst themselves and how their close bond helps them navigate life as a girl group.
While promoting Liquid I.V., the trio shared that they enjoy incorporating different flavours into their routine. Renée mentioned that during the filming of the advert, they sampled flavours beyond what they typically consume, suggesting a newfound appreciation for Liquid I.V.’s offerings. The group revealed they have shifted their backstage preferences, moving away from unnecessary alcohol and opting for fruits and healthier snacks instead.
The unreleased track “Remedied,” which is featured prominently in the advertisement, encapsulates the spirit of fun and carefree malevolence that the group wishes to convey. Jorja explained that while crafting the song, they aimed to create a light-hearted, upbeat melody reminiscent of Christina Aguilera’s style. The trio ensured that they embraced their British identity, opting to sing the song in their natural accent rather than an American one, ultimately celebrating their roots.
Their album, *Therapy at the Club*, is central to their artistic expression, with each song representing different facets of their experiences. Stella characterised “Leak It” as a proclamation of confidence, whereas “Remedied” serves as a carefree counterpart, encouraging listeners to embrace joy and excitement. The album reflects deeply personal themes while maintaining a playful undertone, making it relatable across diverse audiences.
The title *Therapy at the Club* holds significant meaning for FLO, as Renée articulated the therapeutic release that nights out can provide. The unpredictability and magic of a club night can be a transformative experience, allowing individuals to escape life’s pressures and discover joy and connection. Jorja echoed this sentiment, noting that spontaneity often leads to the most memorable nights out, reinforcing the idea of emotional healing through communal experiences.
With their debut album earning critical acclaim, expectations have risen for their sophomore effort. However, the members are focused more on growth than pressure. They feel confident in their abilities and are excited for fans to hear how their sound and songwriting have evolved. Renée expressed satisfaction with their development as artists, highlighting that recognition from industry figures only fuels their determination to improve.
FLO’s journey has coincided with a resurgence of girl groups in the music industry, and each member conveys appreciation for this new wave. They emphasise the importance of positive representation and female solidarity, cherishing the connections forged with other artists. Although they embrace being a part of this revival, they remain steadfast in their vision and mission, which revolves around friendship and creativity.
The trio shared that consistent communication and a shared bond are essential to their cohesion as a group. Their commitment to nurturing their friendships has allowed them to grow together and evolve as artists. FLO’s insight into their journey highlights the importance of unity in a performance setting, ensuring they stay focused on their shared aspirations.
As FLO prepares for their album release and continues to promote their partnership with Liquid I.V., their enthusiasm for sharing music and experiences with fans remains palpable. With their blend of fun and authenticity, the group is poised to leave a lasting mark on the music scene.
