During an interview on the IMPAULSIVE podcast with Logan Paul and Mike Majlak, which aired on May 13, Peters spoke openly about the incident, noting that he has abstained from drugs since the overdose. He described his past relationship with stimulants as unhealthy and acknowledged that the experience served as a significant wake-up call.
“I haven’t taken a drug since,” Peters stated during the podcast. He detailed how his previous drug use had been an attempt to fit in with social norms, admitting that he views himself as neurodivergent. The 20-year-old expressed a desire to move forward and improve his health, albeit with a focus on avoiding substances that might derail his progress.
Despite his newfound resolve, the discussion also raised concerns about Peters’ future relationship with alcohol. Paul cautioned him about the potential dangers of drinking, to which Peters replied that he is unlikely to consume alcohol, citing it as toxic and detrimental to his personal growth.
Peters’ past has been marred by controversy, drawing significant criticism for his extremist behaviour and racially charged language during streams. His livestreaming career has been fraught with legal troubles, including an arrest in March on battery charges following a confrontation between two women that he recorded and published online.

The lawsuit includes allegations of battery, fraud, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Peters has vehemently denied these allegations through his attorney, asserting that the claims do not accurately reflect the events in question.
His troubles continued into May when Peters was charged with a misdemeanour for unlawfully discharging a firearm while in the Everglades. This charge followed the surfacing of a video that appeared to show him shooting a dead alligator. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission acknowledged that they were investigating the incident depicted in the video but did not confirm Peters’ identity at that time.
Peters’ lawyer maintained that no animals or individuals were harmed during the incident and expressed confidence that a more comprehensive understanding of the events would clear Peters’ name.
