Arielle Kebbel, renowned for her captivating roles in various television series, is set to showcase her versatility once again in the upcoming CBS series, *Marshals*. As she steps into the shoes of Belle, Kebbel has discovered the significant physicality and rigorous weapons training required for her role, emphasising the demanding nature of the production.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Kebbel expressed her surprise at the extent of the physical training involved, particularly regarding weapon handling. “I’ll be honest, I did not realise how many large guns I would be carrying up and down mountains when I said yes,” she admitted. Her initial focus had been on horseback riding and the picturesque Montana landscape, rather than the intense firearms training that lay ahead.
The narrative of *Marshals* unfolds a new chapter in the life of Kayce Dutton, portrayed by Luke Grimes, following the death of his wife, Monica. Dutton’s old Navy SEAL comrade, Cal, played by Logan Marshall-Green, recruits him to assist a team of U.S. Marshals, intertwining action with emotional depth.
Upon arriving on set, Kebbel was immediately thrust into a comprehensive weapons training regimen. She remarked, “It was full-on weapons training”, as she quickly realised the importance of being physically prepared not only for her role as Belle but for the ensemble cast as well.
The training sessions were extensive and focused on teamwork. Kebbel described the meticulous attention to detail in their drills, revealing how they practised everything from maintaining proper posture while aiming to essential footwork. The cast also learned practical skills, such as “how to kick down doors” and utilised a “silent language to communicate” effectively in high-pressure scenarios.
Reflecting on her preparation process, Kebbel acknowledged that her previous experiences with physically demanding roles played a significant part in her readiness for *Marshals*. “I would say I felt prepared, physically, for a role like this,” she noted, recognising that past challenges had equipped her with the resilience necessary for her current responsibilities.
However, it was the weapons training that posed unique challenges for Kebbel. “On the physical aspect, I felt I had a good idea of what I was getting into, meaning I knew it wasn’t going to be easy,” she explained. Being disciplined with her sleep, nutrition, and hydration became paramount as she navigated this demanding preparation phase.
“I definitely — I’d say got my butt kicked a bit in [weapons] training,” Kebbel confessed, shedding light on the difficulty of mastering the various firearms, particularly the M4s, which she had never used before. This steep learning curve required her to adapt swiftly, reinforcing her commitment to the role and the project’s success.
As *Marshals* gears up for its premiere, airing Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, fans can expect a blend of action and emotion, encapsulated by a cast that has undergone significant transformations and training. Kebbel’s dedication and readiness signal a strong performance ahead, promising an engaging viewing experience as audiences follow Belle’s journey alongside the complexities of the narrative.
With each new revelation about the physical and emotional undertakings behind the show, it is evident that *Marshals* will challenge its cast and engage its viewers. As the series unfolds, one can only anticipate the compelling stories that await, brought to life by a team prepared to face the demands that lie ahead.
