As Lemley sifted through the wreckage of homes in Bogue Chitto, he heard the distinct cries of a kitten. Among these, twelve injuries occurred in Lincoln County, where the trailer park is located.

Due to his allergies to cats, Lemley will not be able to adopt the kitten himself. Nevertheless, the adorable creature has sparked considerable interest from members of the public. Some have even suggested the name “Tornado,” paying homage to the treacherous weather events that led to its rescue.
