Speaking with PEOPLE, .Paak, 40, reflects on the process of creating music for commercials. He describes it as a fast-paced endeavour that poses both challenges and rewards. “It’s a joy, but it’s also a lot of work,” he notes, highlighting the rapid turnaround that is often required when producing music for adverts. He reveals that despite the quick pace, the collaboration with Visa was enjoyable and creatively liberating. “I’m glad it was funk-inspired because that’s kind of my bag,” he adds.
The singer emphasises that Visa provided him with a spacious platform to express his creativity. He notes that their team was enthusiastic about his ideas and granted him significant freedom in shaping the music for the ad. “Visa’s been just such a pleasure to work with. They have great ideas,” .Paak says, underlining the supportive environment he experienced during the project.

He attended the celebratory gala in New York City on April 23, accompanied by actress Natasha Lyonne, who penned his introduction for the list. I loved it,” he shares.
