Rezz, whose real name is Isabelle Rezazadeh, performed at Coachella during its first weekend, taking to the Sahara Tent stage on Saturday, April 11. However, in her update, she explained that she had been feeling the need for a substantial break for a while. “My body has been whispering for a while that I need a real break, but I continued to push thinking it would be fine,” she wrote.

In her heartfelt message, Rezz acknowledged the disappointment that her fans may feel due to the cancellation. She reassured them that her health must come first, stating, “I have to put my health first, as things going on need to be addressed.” Rezz has garnered a dedicated fanbase who appreciate her innovative sound and engaging performances, making the cancellation a significant announcement within the music community.
For those who missed her initial Coachella performance, Rezz shared that the set will soon be made available on YouTube, allowing her fans to experience her artistry from the first weekend. “I’m really proud of it, and I hope you all enjoy it,” she commented, hinting at her enthusiasm for sharing this aspect of her work.
She expressed gratitude towards Coachella, mentioning how thankful she was to have had the opportunity to perform last weekend. Rezz stated, “Now it’s time to focus on my health,” highlighting her commitment to addressing her health issues before returning to the stage. Fans will have to wait until her next scheduled performance at the Breakaway Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio, set for May 30. Moreover, she is slated to appear at various shows throughout October.
Earlier in April, Rezz released her latest EP, titled “A Shift in Perspective.” The project examines the concept of how individuals can influence the way they are perceived by others through various mediums such as clothing, art, and behaviour. In a post regarding the EP’s release, she articulated her belief that people in the arts frequently experience phases of self-reflection regarding their work and how it may be viewed by others.
“Inspiring shifts in perspective can occur based on many external factors,” Rezz noted. “The music in this project is a clear representation of how I want to be currently perceived, how I want to sound, and how I want my art to feel.” In her explanation, she indicated a desire to move away from past work that no longer resonated with her.
The creative process surrounding “A Shift in Perspective” is deeply personal for Rezz, and she has expressed excitement for sharing this new direction with her audience. “We have the power to alter the way the world reflects back to us,” she remarked, showcasing her belief in the transformative nature of art and its ability to shift personal and collective perceptions.
As the music industry continues to thrive and evolve, Rezz’s focus on her health serves as a reminder of the importance of self-care, especially in high-pressure environments like large-scale festivals. With a promising future ahead, fans eagerly anticipate her return while supporting her journey towards recovery and artistic growth.
