**Tragic Crash Claims Newlywed Couple and Family Members in India**

In a devastating turn of events, a newlywed couple from India tragically lost their lives just a day after their wedding due to a horrific truck accident. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 11, in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh and involved the couple, Virendra Shakya, aged 25, and his bride, Rajeshwari Shakya, alongside two family members, during their return home.
The pair were travelling in an autorickshaw with the groom’s mother, Anvesh Shakya, 50, and his sister-in-law, Rajo Shakya, 22, when a truck reportedly lost control and crashed onto their vehicle. Eyewitness accounts and video footage show the truck toppling over onto the parked autorickshaw, leaving the four occupants severely injured.
Witnesses reported that the autorickshaw driver had made a stop near a petrol station on Tongra Road just prior to the accident when the truck veered off course. At the time of the incident, another passenger, the groom’s sister, Bhuriya Shakya, aged 19, had exited the autorickshaw and remained unharmed along with the driver.
Emergency services were alerted immediately following the crash. However, it took approximately half an hour for rescuers to free the trapped passengers from beneath the truck. Sadly, despite being transported to a nearby hospital shortly after the accident, all four individuals were pronounced dead upon arrival.
The tragic accident took place only a day after Virendra and Rajeshwari had exchanged their vows on Friday, April 10. Their wedding festivities had filled the air with joy, but the subsequent disaster totally upended the family’s celebrations. The couple was returning to Virendra’s village following their nuptials when they encountered the life-altering incident.
Reports indicate that the groom’s family was preparing for another significant occasion, as Bhuriya was set to become engaged the same day as the accident. The family had completed arrangements and were excitedly anticipating celebrating this joyous time, but instead, they faced the sorrowful task of planning four funerals to honour their lost loved ones.
The local police have initiated an investigation to determine the factors that led to the truck losing control. As investigations continue, the community is left in shock, mourning the sudden, devastating loss of not just a young couple, but also two family members.
