Krause shared his thoughts on how Doherty’s involvement brought a significant level of credibility to the series. Once sceptical of these gatherings, he has come to appreciate their significance. Reflecting on advice from his mother, he stated, “Your fans are everything. If someone writes you a letter, you write back. Without them, there’s nothing.”
Notably, he admired Doherty’s dedication to connecting with fans at these events. “That was the one thing I saw with Shannen in the last few years and how engaged she was with the fans,” he said, recognising her approach and dedication as an example for others to follow. Combs reflected on the unrealised ambitions the group had during their time on the show, suggesting that they may have been more active in setting up events had Doherty been present. “She just had copious amounts of inspiration around her all the time,” Combs recalled, reminiscing on the vibrant ideas Doherty regularly brought forth.
