At Least 10 Dead, Multiple Others in Critical Condition After Overcrowded Boat Capsizes

In light of the disaster, the Prime Minister announced that a sum of 175,000 Indian rupees (approximately £2,148) would be allocated from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to the families of each deceased passenger. Additionally, injured individuals will receive 40,000 Indian rupees (around £537) as part of assistance measures.
