According to Hudzinski, the incident quickly transformed her holiday into “the worst nightmare you could ever imagine,” as she described feeling trapped and terrified in a foreign country.
After the fall, Hudzinski was promptly transferred to a private hospital. However, her insurance does not cover overseas medical treatment, forcing her to be moved to a public facility for further care. Amidst the chaos of her situation, she expressed her fear, saying she felt as if she were “in hell” and was overwhelmed with thoughts of potentially not making it home.
Back in Washington, Hudzinski’s family, including her sister Lucretia, are desperately trying to coordinate a medical flight for her return. However, the estimated cost of approximately $100,000 has made the situation even more challenging. Lucretia voiced her concerns, stating, “I wish we could get her out of there.
