According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), deputies were notified of a possible drowning involving an overturned kayak shortly after 8 p.m. on that day. When they arrived at the scene, they learned that Knight and his six-year-old son were on the kayak, neither of whom were wearing life jackets at the time of the incident.
