Ladd joined the series in its second season in 1977, stepping in for Farrah Fawcett, who departed the show. Fawcett, who passed away in 2009, made guest appearances during the third and fourth seasons before Ladd continued her journey with the programme until its conclusion in 1981.
Reflecting on her experience during the show, Ladd recounted her struggles with the glamorous yet revealing costumes, particularly the famous swimsuits. “Eventually, I stomped my foot and got the smallest bikini I could find. When I showed it to Aaron, he exclaimed, ‘Wait, you can’t wear that.’ I replied, ‘But you said I was to wear a bikini!’ And that was that,” she shared, highlighting the blend of charm and constraints that actresses faced during that era.
