The incident took place on Sunday, 22 March, during a motorcycle ride in Brentwood, Tennessee, and was partially captured on video, which has since circulated online.
After conducting an inquiry, authorities determined that Ritchson was acting in self-defence during the altercation. Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin confirmed that the evidence reviewed, which included video footage and witness statements, supported this conclusion. “No criminal charges will be pursued,” Pepin stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, underscoring that the incident had been thoroughly investigated.
