Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett will return to their roles, alongside robots Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot. Completing the reunion are Trace Beaulieu, Mary Jo Pehl, and Frank Conniff, all of whom played pivotal roles in the series and are set to reprise their characters.

On March 17, a message from Nelson, Murphy, and Corbett shared their excitement for the campaign’s achievements so far, stating, “We’re just in awe here. Think about how much has already been accomplished these past 43 days: The Mads came back, we uncovered original bots to use in these episodes, we brought back a very exclusive club, hung out not once, but twice, and a whole lot more.” The trio described the campaign as “the first step in a long and wonderful journey,” emphasising the sense of community among fans and creators.

In an interview with *Rolling Stone*, Nelson celebrated the special significance of RiffTrax owning the rights to the series, highlighting the importance of preserving MST3K’s legacy. He reflected on his journey since the show went off the air while he was in Minnesota, noting the struggles of freelance writing at the time and how it led him to explore keeping the beloved series alive. “I thought about doing this RiffTrax thing … and obviously it worked out and it’s been a gratifying 20 years,” he expressed.

Recalling the filming process, he stated, “When we did the shoot, the puppets came out of these cases. It was a surreal feeling, but it was also very joyful to see people scrambling around again.” His passion for fostering joy through comedy remains evident, as he noted, “When you get a reaction like this, you’re like, ‘We’re on the right track.’”
