Recent research has uncovered a noteworthy correlation between GLP-1 medications and enhanced mental health among users. These drugs, traditionally prescribed for Type 2 diabetes and lately gaining popularity for their weight loss benefits, may also play a role in reducing depression and anxiety levels, according to a comprehensive study conducted on nearly 100,000 individuals in Sweden.

The findings were published in *The Lancet*, with the study spearheaded by the University of Eastern Finland in partnership with the Karolinska Institutet from Sweden and Griffith University in Australia. The research spanned from 2009 to 2022 and included over 20,000 participants who regularly used GLP-1 medications.
