Texas Town Looking for Culprit Who Used Municipal Money to Buy $5,000 Worth of Weight-Loss Drugs

In a shocking revelation for the small community of Campbell, Texas, town officials have confirmed that over $28,000 of public funds were misappropriated via a government credit card. The misuse of funds was brought to light during a recent city council meeting by the newly appointed secretary, Trisha Lowery.

Lowery addressed residents at the council meeting on March 16, detailing the findings of an internal audit that uncovered the alarming expenditures made from 2024 to 2025, which occurred prior to her taking on the role of secretary. Additionally, the audit revealed that 70 transactions were made from TikTok’s online shop, along with large expenses from various retailers such as Best Buy, Verizon Wireless, Expedia, and multiple grocery stores. The total number of identified purchases exceeded 140, and Lowery indicated that there might be further undiscovered charges as the investigation unfolds.
