**Couple Arrested for Alleged Use of Teen as Surrogate in Oklahoma Case**

A couple from Oklahoma, 36-year-olds Nathan Potier and Erica Palmer, has been arrested in Sparks, Nevada, on serious felony charges relating to the alleged use of a 14-year-old girl as a surrogate for twins. The shocking case has drawn widespread attention due to its disturbing nature and the age of the victim involved.
The Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) launched an investigation after receiving a referral from Child Protective Services (CPS) in December 2025. Reports indicated that the teenage girl was pregnant with twins, and suspicions arose regarding the identity of the father, believed to be Palmer’s boyfriend. As the investigation progressed, authorities sought a search warrant for Potier’s DNA to confirm paternity; however, ahead of the warrant being acted upon, both Potier and Palmer chose to flee Oklahoma.
On March 17, they were apprehended by the United States Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force after a search revealed their whereabouts. This operation took place in the Reno-Sparks area, over a thousand miles away from their home state. Both are currently being held at the Washoe County Detention Facility, awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.
Nathan Potier faces serious accusations, including sexual abuse of a child, while Erica Palmer has been charged with enabling that abuse. Furthermore, Palmer is facing two additional counts relating to the desertion of a child under the age of 15.
