**Chance the Dog Seeks Forever Home After Paddleboarding Adventure at Arizona Humane Society**

Chance, a dog currently residing at the Arizona Humane Society, is in search of a loving family despite his delightful personality and playful spirit. Kelsey Dickerson, a public information officer at the Arizona Humane Society, described Chance as a dog with a “truly adorable personality.” However, like many larger dogs in shelters across the nation, he faces challenges in finding an adoptive family. “At the Arizona Humane Society, big dogs are generally staying longer on the adoption floor than their smaller counterparts,” she explained.
Chance arrived at the shelter with injuries that have since been treated, but unfortunately, this has not aided in his search for a forever home. To bolster his chances, the shelter is currently offering an adoption fee waiver for Chance, which includes several benefits. Interested families will find that this package encompasses vaccinations, neuter surgery, a microchip, and a wellness examination.
Recently, to provide Chance with a memorable experience, the shelter staff took him paddleboarding. Initially, he was a bit apprehensive about the new activity but quickly acclimatised under the guidance of shelter staff members Ava English and Evalynn Seydlitz. Seydlitz noted how Chance’s confidence took a remarkable turn once he became accustomed to balancing on the board. “As we ventured out onto the water, he became calm and truly seemed to enjoy the experience,” she remarked.
English echoed these sentiments, expressing how paddleboarding allowed Chance to step outside of his comfort zone. She shared her hope that the experience would be as fulfilling for Chance as it was for the team. “Being able to wade in the water for the first time and take in the natural beauty of Arizona, including seeing the fish swim beneath the surface, was a unique adventure for him,” she added.
The staff at the Arizona Humane Society documented Chance’s paddleboarding outing and shared it on social media in hopes of attracting potential adopters. Their aim is to showcase the charming qualities of Chance, ultimately helping him to find a family where he can flourish.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that as part of the ongoing Big Dog Adoption Special, the costs associated with adopting Chance have been eliminated, thanks to a partnership with Hill’s Pet Nutrition. This initiative aims to encourage more adoptions of larger breeds like Chance, who might otherwise be overlooked.
