The popular HGTV competition show, “The Flip Off,” is set to return for a second season, with fans eagerly anticipating new twists and familiar faces. Christina Haack, the show’s star and house flipping expert, has confirmed that her boyfriend, Chris Larocca, will make a noteworthy appearance this time around. Having previously appeared in a minor role during the finale of the inaugural season, Larocca’s involvement in the upcoming series is already generating buzz among viewers.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Haack shared insights about the filming of season two, noting, “We are just getting started. We just started filming but so far, so good. It’s going to be very fun.” With the show’s return, she confirmed that Larocca would have a more significant presence, responding positively when asked about his role. “Ummm… yeah. He will be involved a little bit,” she said, although she did not go into detail about the specifics of his participation.
Larocca first graced the screens in the first season’s finale that aired in March 2025. This episode showcased Haack’s final challenge in the competition, where she faced off against her former husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. Viewers caught a glimpse of Larocca among Haack’s close friends and family as they rallied in support, but he remained largely out of the spotlight, with minimal interaction with Haack.

The upcoming season of “The Flip Off” was officially announced in August 2025. While HGTV has not yet disclosed an exact premiere date, the new season is expected to air sometime in 2026. The first season was tremendously successful, attracting nearly 14 million viewers, and not only provided thrilling house flipping challenges but also a glimpse into the personal lives of its stars.
During its original run, the show reflected Haack’s personal journey as well. Initially partnered with her third husband, Josh Hall, their relationship took a turn mid-filming, resulting in Haack continuing the competition solo. Following their split, which was finalised in August 2025, Haack began dating Larocca. They managed to keep their romance under wraps for several months before confirming it publicly in January 2025, with Haack revealing that their relationship began in the autumn of 2024.
The upcoming season is expected to retain the same team structure as the first, with Haack competing against the El Moussas. However, Heather Rae El Moussa hinted at the possibility of a “partner swap” in future episodes, which might see Haack and Heather teaming up together. Given this, it’s feasible that Larocca could step in as Haack’s partner for a segment of the series.
Alongside the excitement surrounding the show, Haack has been navigating her personal life publicly. Recently, she quashed rumours of an engagement after being spotted wearing a ring on her left hand. “I’m not in any rush,” she clarified, addressing speculation about her marital status during an interview with E! News.
As fans await the premiere of “The Flip Off” season two, anticipation is building not only for the property transformations but also for the dynamic relationships and personal narratives that unfold on screen. With Larocca’s confirmed involvement and the potential for unexpected partnerships, the upcoming series promises to offer both drama and entertainment as viewers settle in for another round of house flipping excitement.
