Modifications, such as the addition of a flag and redesigned interiors, were made to enhance the property’s likeness to the Kennedy aesthetic.

One of the most significant recreations for the series was the wedding ceremony, which originally took place in a small church on Cumberland Island, Georgia. In a bid to replicate this intimate event, the production team built a chapel in upstate New York. Actress Sarah Pidgeon, who portrays Bessette, described the experience as surreal, reflecting on the magic of performing a scene in a setting designed to mirror where their vows were exchanged.
