Holly Madison, the former Playboy model, has shared her thoughts on the challenges of dating while raising two children. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, she disclosed her approach to introducing new partners to her kids, expressing a clear preference for privacy and caution in her personal life.

The 46-year-old mother of two, who shares a daughter, Rainbow, aged 13, and a son, Forest, aged 9, with ex-husband Pasquale Rotella, emphasised her desire to avoid bringing unfamiliar figures into her children’s lives. “I don’t want to bring a rotating cast of people in and out of my kids’ lives at all,” she stated. This sentiment reflects her commitment to providing stability for her children as they grow.

Madison revealed that she would only consider introducing a partner to her kids once they are engaged, underscoring her prioritisation of her children’s well-being. “I never introduce my kids. I don’t think I would do that until I was engaged,” she explained. This policy also extended to her previous relationship with paranormal investigator Zak Bagans, which lasted from 2019 to 2025. Despite their long-term connection, she chose not to introduce him to her children, emphasising her intent to maintain clear boundaries in her personal relationships.
While managing the complexities of work and family life can be overwhelming, Madison expressed gratitude for her cooperative relationship with Rotella. “He’s an amazing dad,” she noted, highlighting that this makes her feel less like a single parent. “I’m single and a parent, but I’m not a single parent. I’m really lucky.” This balance has enabled her to navigate her responsibilities while offering a supportive environment for her children.
As for her children’s development, she is keenly aware of the swift passage of time. “My daughter’s turning 13 on March 5, so that’s a crazy milestone,” she remarked. Madison reflected on how quickly her children grow, recalling the earlier, more demanding newborn phase as seemingly dragging on. However, she noted that once her children transitioned into toddlerhood and began preschool, time seemed to accelerate. This realisation has led her to consciously enjoy each moment with them, as she understands how fleeting these stages are.
Currently, Madison is seeing someone new but prefers to keep this relationship private. She aims to nurture her connection without external scrutiny, acknowledging how public interest can complicate personal matters. “I just want to get to know somebody without the internet weighing in,” she said. “I mean, I might be okay with not ever sharing. I don’t know.”
In addition to discussing her family life, Madison is taking part in Seeking’s Breakup Campaign, which runs until April 11. The campaign involves raising awareness around relationship challenges and potentially offering support to those navigating similar experiences. Through her involvement, she hopes to contribute positively to conversations around breakups and dating dynamics.
Holly Madison’s insights reveal her dedication to creating a nurturing environment for her children while balancing her personal life. By prioritising family stability and maintaining discretion in her dating life, she sets a thoughtful example for other parents facing similar situations. As she embraces this new chapter, her journey continues to evolve amid the complexities of modern parenting and relationships.
