Their unique connection left a lasting impression on Ballinger, who later reconnected with her through Facebook after several years apart. “Now we’re married and have two kids,” he said, reflecting on how their shared history has shaped their current lives.

While McCartney and fellow former band member Frankie Galasso are not performing with Raposo and Ballinger during this revival, Ballinger noted that both of them have expressed their support for the duo’s current endeavours. “We’re all really good friends at this point … there’s no pressure on anyone to do anything at any point in any of our lives,” he explained. The return of Dream Street and the friendship between its members was propelled by a poignant event — the tragic passing of Chris Trousdale, another member of the group, due to complications from COVID-19 in 2020. Ballinger shared that Trousdale’s death underscored the importance of cherishing life’s moments. “Chris passing away, unfortunately, gave us a lot of perspective like, ‘Wow, life is short.’ I think that brought everyone together,” he said.
