Paris Hilton, the multifaceted star known for her work as a singer, actress, reality television personality, DJ, and founder of the beauty brand Parive, has recently shared her experiences living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As part of Jornay PM’s “Embrace Your Sparkle” campaign, Hilton attributes much of her entrepreneurial success to her neurodivergence, stating, “I wouldn’t be the entrepreneur I am today without it.”

The 45-year-old has openly discussed the positive aspects of ADHD, encouraging a shift in perspective for those who may see the condition as a challenge. “It’s not something that needs to be fixed,” she explained, suggesting instead that ADHD can be a source of creativity, spontaneity, and unique problem-solving abilities. For Hilton, these traits enable her to “think outside the box” and embrace risk-taking in her professional life.

As part of her involvement in the campaign, Hilton has partnered with Collegium Pharmaceutical to promote Jornay PM, a medication specifically designed for ADHD that is taken at night. She appreciates the timing, stating that taking medication in the evening ensures it is effective upon waking. “Before, I would just forget to take it and then it could, like, ruin your whole day,” she noted, emphasising that structured routines and personalised treatment are essential for managing ADHD effectively.
Hilton also underscored the importance of having organizational tools readily available in her daily life. “It’s really important to have structure… I find it really helpful to have notebooks everywhere, Post-it notes, and whiteboards in certain rooms to jot down tasks,” she explained. Balancing motherhood with her entrepreneurial ambitions can be daunting, especially with two young children—son Phoenix, 3, and daughter London, 2—adding to her busy schedule.
Moreover, Hilton revealed that having ADHD has enriched her experience as a parent. She described it as providing her with “inner child playfulness” which she cherishes while interacting with her children. “It’s so much fun being a mom and getting to relive that childhood with them and see the world through their eyes,” she shared.
Reaching out to the ADHD community has been a source of inspiration for her. Hilton articulated how connecting with others and sharing her journey has helped her feel less isolated. “It’s just amazing to not feel alone,” she said, reflecting on how understanding her condition has provided clarity on her past experiences.
The media personality also expressed a desire to challenge the stigma surrounding ADHD, particularly within educational settings. “School systems are not built for brains like ours,” Hilton pointed out. She aims to use her platform to encourage open dialogue and share positive stories about living with ADHD. “I want to continue talking about it and release the stigma behind it,” she added, advocating for a more nuanced understanding of neurodiversity.
For those grappling with their ADHD diagnoses or struggling with self-esteem related to their condition, Hilton offered reassurance. “Millions of people around the world have ADHD,” she stated, highlighting the accomplishments of many successful individuals—artists, musicians, scientists—who share the same diagnosis.
She urged individuals to “embrace their inner sparkle,” stressing the limitless potential that comes from understanding the positive aspects of ADHD. “When you can know the good parts about it, so many amazing things can happen in your life,” Hilton concluded, leaving her audience with a message of hope and empowerment.
Through her openness about ADHD, Hilton aims not only to inspire acceptance but also to encourage others to seek the right resources and support. In doing so, she hopes to empower those who may feel marginalized by their neurodivergent identities, reminding them that they, too, can shine brightly.
