In a recent turn of events, Meghan King is reported to be spending Thanksgiving apart from her three children after temporarily losing custody of them in November 2025. The ex-Real Housewives of Orange County star’s children will be celebrating the holiday with their father, Jim Edmonds, and his wife, Kortnie, in Tennessee, as reported exclusively by Page Six.
The custody issue arose following allegations that Meghan King had given Ritalin to one of her sons without a prescription from a doctor. She purportedly asked a school nurse to administer the medication to her child, leading to concerns from school authorities and subsequent involvement of Child Protective Services (CPS) in the matter, according to a source cited by PEOPLE.
Due to these developments, Meghan King’s children were removed from her custody, with Jim Edmonds being granted sole physical custody for the time being. This decision is temporary, with a hearing scheduled to determine the permanency of the custody arrangement, as per reports by Us Weekly.
The former couple, King and Edmonds, were married for five years before separating in 2019 and finalizing their divorce in 2021.
