He noted, “I am a pretty private person, and my wife is from the East Coast, and she had all of her high school girlfriends and her college girlfriends who were coming. And I said to her, ‘That’s fine, but their husbands — I don’t want them at my wedding.'”

Explaining his rationale behind the ‘no husbands’ rule, Oliver expressed a desire to maintain privacy and avoid introductions to unfamiliar individuals on his wedding day. Despite initial surprise from his wife, Erinn, Oliver stood firm on the decision. He recounted the interaction, stating Erinn’s disbelief at the request but ultimately complying with the arrangement.

The actor revealed that while the women’s husbands attended the Mexican destination, they did not partake in the wedding festivities. Instead, they enjoyed a separate vacation, allowing the female guests to fully engage in the celebrations over the three-day event. Oliver shared that despite initial concerns, Erinn’s friends accepted the terms as they valued the opportunity to visit Mexico.
