Turner, a standout soccer player at the university, sustained severe head injuries in a scooter crash on September 27, alongside her teammate, Ashlyn Gwynn.
The news of Turner’s death was announced by Cal State Fullerton on Monday, stating that she succumbed to her injuries on Friday, November 7. A vibrant and beloved member of the soccer team, Turner was remembered by her teammates as a “loving teammate” and an “amazing person”, known for her compassion and kindness on and off the field.
According to reports, Turner and Gwynn were riding e-scooters without helmets on their way to a men’s soccer game when they were struck by a box truck around 7 p.m. local time.
