Actress Alexandra Daddario, known for her role as Rachel Patton in season 1 of the popular HBO series “The White Lotus,” recently shared her thoughts on what her character might be up to if she were to make a return to the show. Daddario portrayed the character of Rachel, who was portrayed as an unhappy newlywed married to her entitled husband Shane, played by Jake Lacy.
In a conversation with PEOPLE about her latest project, the LGBTQ+ drama “I Wish You All the Best,” Daddario, who is currently 39 years old, speculated that Rachel would likely still be married to Shane, a wealthy and entitled individual. In the first season of “The White Lotus,” set in a fictional resort in Maui, Hawaii, Rachel and Shane were depicted on a tense honeymoon where Rachel questioned the longevity of their marriage. Ultimately, she chose to stay with Shane, who was involved in a controversial incident at the resort.
When asked about a potential setting for Rachel’s return, Daddario expressed her interest in exploring new locations but highlighted the importance of the storytelling. She mentioned that Portugal could be an appealing choice given its current popularity. Several characters from the first season have made appearances in subsequent instalments of the series, proving the show’s ongoing narrative complexity and character development.
