Peach Product Recalled Nationwide Due To Potential Listeria Risk

A nationwide recall has been issued for a peach product due to potential listeria risk, impacting consumers across the country. The recall is tied to Moonlight Companies’ nationwide peach recall announced over a week ago, raising concerns about contamination with listeria monocytogenes.

JFE Franchising, Inc. and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the voluntary recall of a peach salsa product sold in Kroger stores on November 3rd. This recall comes in response to the nationwide peach recall issued by Moonlight Companies a few days prior.

The Texas-based JFE Franchising, Inc. is recalling a limited batch of products containing yellow and white peaches grown in California out of caution for potential listeria contamination. These affected fruits are ingredients in several JFE Franchising products, including its popular peach salsa sold under the label “SNOWFRUIT” at Kroger stores.

The 16-oz. salsa, packaged in plastic clam-shell containers and sold for $5.99, has a best-by date of November 3 or 4. Consumers are advised not to consume the affected products and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of the products.
