Additionally, Alphonso Graham, 39, from Port Orchard, remains missing following the accident, with search efforts ongoing to locate him.

Christian Akers was remembered for his deep love for fishing and the outdoors, having served in the U.S. Navy and pursued a career as a nuclear electronics technician. His son Wyatt was described as having a big heart and a love for Pokemon, Legos, and soccer. The Akers’ family dog, initially lost in the accident, was thankfully rescued and returned to the family. A heartfelt celebration in honour of Christian and Wyatt Akers is planned for December 6 on Georgia’s St. Simons Island.
