Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have recently dropped a new song in collaboration with Gracie Abrams, titled “Call Me When You Break Up.” This bubblegum pop track, along with its accompanying music video, was released on Thursday, February 20, as the second single from Blanco and Gomez’s upcoming album, ‘I Said I Love You First’.

The music video features a selfie-style performance by Gomez, 32, and Abrams, 25, exuding a sense of nostalgia for fans. The promotional photo showing the trio sporting matching bobs and T-shirts, along with Blanco, 36, has sparked a wave of reminiscence among listeners, with some even jokingly superimposing the Disney Channel logo on the image, harking back to Gomez’s Disney days.
This latest release follows the success of Blanco and Gomez’s first single from the album, “Scared of Loving You,” which was unveiled on February 13. The duo has a history of collaboration, having previously worked on hits like “Kill Em with Kindness” and “Same Old Love” for Gomez’s album Revival back in 2015. Similarly, Blanco and Abrams joined forces in 2021 for the track “Unlearn.”
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the musicians shared their enthusiasm for working together on the new song and the creative synergy they experienced. Abrams expressed her deep admiration for Gomez and Blanco’s work, stating that anything they wanted from her was a resounding “yes forever.”
Blanco, on the other hand, gushed about the organic development of their album, ‘I Said I Love You First’, which is set to drop on Friday, March 21. He described how the project started as a simple idea in their bedroom that evolved into something truly special, thanks to the shared passion and talent of everyone involved.
Gomez echoed Blanco’s sentiments, expressing her pride in the collaborative process and the authentic storytelling within the album. According to a press release, ‘I Said I Love You First’ offers fans a glimpse into Blanco and Gomez’s personal love story, capturing their journey from before they met, through falling in love, and beyond.
As the release date for ‘I Said I Love You First’ approaches, fans can expect a blend of nostalgia, romance, and musical innovation from this dynamic trio. Stay tuned for more updates on their musical journey and the heartfelt stories within their upcoming album.
