Despite being a well-known actor, Lillard revealed that his three children, Addison (23), Macey (“Ace”) (21), and Liam (17), do not see him primarily as an actor. Instead, they view him as their father, appreciating him for mundane tasks like taking out the trash and guiding them through life creatively.
Lillard expressed that like most children of celebrities, his kids are not particularly interested in his acting career. He highlighted that while acting is a great job, to his children, he is more than just an actor. He shared that being recognised as a father by his kids is all he could ask for, indicating the strong bond he shares with his family.
The actor’s youngest child, Liam, has shown no inclination towards acting, as per a previous interview with E! News. In contrast, Addison pursued studies at the University of Southern California’s Roski School of Art and Design, while Ace is currently studying acting at Carnegie Mellon University. Lillard mentioned that he never forced his children into the entertainment industry but acknowledged and supported their artistic passions.

Lillard fondly recounted how he decided to accompany Heather to Italy shortly after meeting her, realising that she was the one he wanted to spend his life with. Recognising the importance of spreading awareness about colorectal cancer, he emphasised the significance of promoting tests like Cologuard to save lives.
