Renowned rapper Kanye West has made headlines with the recent sale of his second Wyoming ranch back to its original owners, marking a significant shift in his property investments. The sale includes the Bighorn Mountain Ranch property, which West initially purchased from the Flitner family for $14 million in 2019. The transaction, notarized by West’s wife Bianca Censori in September 17, signifies a return of the Greybull, Wyo., estate to its former owners, David and Paula Flitner. The property is now under the ownership of David’s son, Greg Flitner, and his wife Pam Flitner.
The expansive Bighorn Mountain Ranch features exquisite cabins, lodges, grass-covered hills, meadows intersected by tree-covered canyons, and game-filled bluffs, as detailed in its listing on Hayden Outdoors. The property includes a log home with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, a cookhouse cabin accommodating two people, and three additional cabins providing space for up to six individuals. While West had initially listed the ranch for $16,995,000, reports from Realtor.com indicate that the sale was finalized for the original purchase price of $14 million.

West’s presence in Wyoming has been a topic of interest since his property acquisitions in the state. The rapper’s investment in Wyoming properties, including the now-sold Bighorn Mountain Ranch and the still-for-sale Monster Lake Ranch near Cody, Wyo., has drawn attention. Monster Lake Ranch, purchased for $14 million in September 2019, was listed for sale by West in October 2021 for $11 million, currently available for purchase at $12 million. Alongside these property transactions, West also acquired a warehouse in Cody with plans to establish a “Yeezy Campus” for his brand operations.
During his ownership of the Wyoming properties, West, former partner Kim Kardashian, and their children North and Saint, enjoyed time together at the ranches. Despite their eventual separation, the couple’s shared presence in Wyoming was notable, with West frequently spending time on the properties while hosting notable guests like Justin Bieber. As West continues to refine his property portfolio, the sale of Bighorn Mountain Ranch back to its original owners signifies a new chapter in the rapper’s real estate ventures.
