According to reports from WCVB, NBC Boston, and the Taunton Gazette, the crash took place on Broadway/Route 138 near Jackson Street at around 7:10 p.m. Investigators believe that the Rav 4 crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with the Chevy van. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash.
Tragically, a girl, nearly 2 years old, was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to a local hospital.
