Sgt. Terell Seales was a motor transport operator assigned to the 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Team (Strike), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). He had been a part of the Army for four years, serving in various locations such as Texas, New York, and Fort Campbell on the Kentucky-Tennessee border. His deployment to Germany was his second, having previously served in Lithuania in 2023.
