Tanya Reynolds has joined the acclaimed Apple TV+ series ‘Ted Lasso’ in its fourth season, making her debut as Alice Chilton, the assistant coach for Richmond’s newly formed Lady Greyhounds team. The introduction of the women’s team sees them navigating a variety of challenges, including skepticism from the local community and struggles with limited resources.

Reynolds, who is well-known for her performances in ‘Sex Education’ and ‘The Other Bennet Sister’, expressed her excitement and nerves about joining such a highly regarded show. In a recent interview, she reflected on the pressures that come with stepping into a beloved series, stating, “It was obviously really exciting, but also quite nerve-wracking to step into something that is so loved and adored and where everyone is so great.”

Initially reluctant to collaborate with Ted Lasso, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis, and Coach Beard, played by Brendan Hunt, Reynolds’s character Alice eventually forms a solid and unexpected partnership with the duo. Together, they strive to establish the women’s team amidst the challenges they face.

Mack shared her experience of participating in a football boot camp prior to filming, a practice that allowed the actors to connect and cultivate their on-field chemistry. “Because we became very tight-knit really quickly. We got drunk together quite a lot. We went and did karaoke. We went out on the town — a lot. We did a lot of pubs, very British hangout,” she exclaimed, underscoring the friendly and collaborative spirit that developed among the cast.

The warm reception from the show’s established cast, including prominent figures such as Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca) and Juno Temple (Keeley), also helped ease the transition for these newcomers. Mack noted how welcoming the returning cast members were, stating, “Juno and Hannah were so welcoming and so immediately onboard and just like, ‘Get over here, get in,’ which I think made our job so much easier.”
