The technical issues led to a lack of essential services onboard, including room service, WiFi, casino facilities, and functional televisions, leaving passengers feeling exasperated.

A Carnival Cruise Line spokesperson confirmed that the delay was a result of IT problems on the Carnival Firenze, which prompted a temporary pause in departure proceedings. As efforts were made to rectify the connectivity issues, passengers were kept informed by ship personnel, who assured them that the matter was being addressed promptly.
Despite the setback, the cruise staff reassured guests that entertainment programs, such as the ‘Welcome Aboard’ show, would proceed as planned, offering some respite amidst the inconvenience. However, there were concerns that the delay might impact the itinerary, leading to the potential skipping of a port of call in Ensenada.
