Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer have recently sold their Brooklyn townhouse at a significant loss, just before announcing their split. The couple, who have been married for seven years, offloaded their New York City abode for $11 million on November 25th. This price is $3 million less than their initial listing price back in March, and $1.25 million less than what they purchased it for in 2022.

The 5,570-square-foot property boasts five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a wine cellar, a gym, and an enclosed garden. The sale was confirmed by a representative from The Corcoran Group. The deed filing revealed that the property was purchased by an LLC. Schumer and Fischer originally listed their home for $14 million earlier in the year, cutting down the price multiple times before the final sale.
Back in March, Schumer took to Instagram to announce the listing of their home, which was famously featured in the 1987 movie “Moonstruck.” She fondly mentioned the property’s prime location, just a block away from Brooklyn Bridge Park and close to schools. The couple, along with their son Gene, aged 6, expressed their love for the house and mentioned their three cherished years living there.

However, news of the split surfaced shortly after the property sale. Schumer took to Instagram to share the announcement, emphasizing their mutual love and respect for each other. She mentioned that they will continue to focus on raising their son, while also requesting privacy during this time. Sources close to the pair mentioned that the split was amicable and that they were finalizing a few things.
Prior to the public announcement, there were speculations about their marriage as Schumer and Fischer were reportedly working through normal issues that couples face in long-term relationships. Schumer later clarified in an Instagram Reel that their relationship status was not linked to weight loss or autism, and expressed her hopes to make it through their challenges together.
The couple’s decision to sell their Brooklyn townhouse and part ways after seven years of marriage has garnered attention from fans and media alike. With their journey together coming to an end, both Schumer and Fischer are focused on co-parenting their son and moving forward positively.
As the news of the couple’s split surfaces, it marks the end of a chapter in their lives and opens up a new one for them individually. Despite the challenges faced, both Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer remain optimistic about the future and are committed to navigating this transition with grace and mutual respect.
