Six Flags Magic Mountain, a popular theme park in Valencia, California, is set to undergo a major transformation with the introduction of a brand-new Looney Tunes Land in the summer of 2026. The revamped area, which is expected to replace two classic rides, promises to be a “complete reimagining” of the park’s family section, with familiar Looney Tunes characters taking center stage.

The announcement of Looney Tunes Land was made public by Six Flags on December 16, 2025. The new themed area aims to offer visitors an immersive experience across four distinct zones, each featuring beloved characters from the iconic Warner Bros. franchise. According to a press release, the park officials are excited to continue their successful partnership with Warner Bros. in celebrating these well-loved characters.

One of the main attractions in Looney Tunes Land will be Bugs Bunny Play Park, a central area that replaces Speedy Gonzalez Hot Rods and Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party. This space will feature thematic play and exploration zones, including Bugs Bunny’s own home. Additionally, the Merrie Melodies Merrie-Go-Round will undergo a makeover with a new colour scheme and marquee sign, while the park’s restaurant, Wascal’s, will be refurbished with a new facade resembling Granny’s House.
Guests visiting Six Flags Magic Mountain will also have the opportunity to explore TAZ-mania, a tropical landscape dedicated to the Tasmanian Devil. The Whistlestop Train will be rethemed as Taz’s Tasmanian Train Tours, offering a journey through the island’s wilderness. Moreover, a new Taz’s Exploration Trail will replace the Magic Flyer and Tweety’s Escape attractions, providing a fresh and exciting experience for visitors.
Another highlight of the upcoming Looney Tunes Land is the New Mexico-inspired zone, Road Runner Ridge, where Wile E. Coyote’s adventures in capturing the elusive Road Runner will come to life. This area will feature desert terrain and rock formations, with the existing Road Runner Express kids coaster at its heart. Daffy Duck will also have a dedicated space in Camp Duck Amuck, set in a High Sierra-inspired area that includes a transformed Taz’s Trucking Company and Looney Tunes Lodge.
The transformation of the park is scheduled to commence in early January 2026, following the conclusion of the seasonal holiday events. The construction will be carried out in three phases, allowing certain areas to remain open to guests throughout the process. Dave Evans, Six Flags director of construction, mentioned that the reopening of the renovated sections will be staggered to ensure that a significant portion of the area remains accessible to visitors at all times.
This exciting development at Six Flags Magic Mountain comes amidst a challenging period for the amusement park corporation. Following an $8 billion merger with Cedar Fair in 2024, Six Flags has faced financial difficulties, leading to the closure of Six Flags America in Maryland and the potential shuttering of Six Flags California’s Great America in 2027. Under new leadership, the company aims to focus on its most successful parks moving forward.
In conclusion, the introduction of Looney Tunes Land at Six Flags Magic Mountain represents a significant expansion and enhancement of the park’s offerings for families and visitors of all ages. With iconic characters, immersive environments, and thrilling attractions, the new themed area is set to delight guests and continue the longstanding legacy of the beloved Looney Tunes franchise.
