A manhunt intensifies as new images emerge showing a person of interest in the tragic mass shooting at Brown University. The incident, which occurred on December 13, resulted in the loss of at least two students and left nine others wounded.
The FBI, in a press conference on Monday evening, announced a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual responsible for the shooting. It has been over 48 hours since the perpetrator opened fire on a classroom of 60 students before disappearing in Providence.

Investigators managed to obtain three new images of the person of interest by canvassing the area around the campus and collecting video footage from security cameras. These images provide a clearer look at the suspect, showing them in dark pants, a fleece jacket, and wearing a hat and face mask, obscuring much of their face.
Efforts to apprehend the culprit have been ongoing, with FBI agents and Providence Police Department officers scouring the crime scene for any potential leads or evidence. Despite facing challenges such as inclement weather, authorities remain determined to track down the individual responsible for the senseless act of violence.
One significant development in the case involved the questioning of a person of interest at a hotel in Coventry, located approximately 20 miles south of Providence. However, this individual was subsequently released after it was determined that there was no basis to consider him a person of interest.
The shooting, which took place in the Barus and Holley Building, resulted in tragedy as two students, identified as Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov, lost their lives. With one wounded individual remaining in critical condition, the community is reeling from the aftermath of the devastating incident.
Brown University took immediate action in response to the shooting, cancelling exams and sending students home for winter break. Officials have reassured residents that there is currently no known threat, although the whereabouts of the shooter remain unknown. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI or the Providence Police Department.
The community remains in shock as authorities work tirelessly to bring the perpetrator to justice and provide closure to the victims and their families. Despite the challenges faced in the investigation, the determination to seek justice for the victims remains unwavering.
