Georgia Mother Accused of Killing Her Two Babies, Three Years Apart

A tragic and disturbing case has surfaced in Georgia, where a young mother, Dakota Nicole Taylor, aged 21, stands accused of the murders of her two infant sons. In a shocking revelation, authorities have charged Taylor with the death of her 7-month-old son in 2021, followed by the killing of her 8-month-old son in 2025. Following an extensive inquiry, Taylor was taken into custody, already being detained at the McDuffie County Jail for unrelated charges in connection to a previous child death in 2021 in DeKalb County.
According to reports, Taylor was suspected of obstructing the airways of her 7-month-old son, Micah Allen Taylor, resulting in his death in September 2021. The actual cause of the infant’s demise had remained undetermined until the subsequent tragedy involving her second son, as stated in the grand jury arrest warrant.
Police body camera footage from the night of Micah’s passing depicts a grim scene at the group home where Taylor resided with her child. Witnesses observed the baby in a distressing state before his unfortunate demise. Officers also noted Taylor’s allegedly detached response to the unfolding situation, with one officer describing her behaviour as “nonchalant” and concerning.
Further investigations revealed that in January 2025, Taylor purportedly caused the death of her son Caleb by depriving him of oxygen, subjecting him to extreme physical and mental suffering. The criminal warrant states that Taylor suffocated Caleb while committing a felony of cruelty to children in the first degree, leading to his untimely demise.
Currently being held at Jefferson County Jail without bond, Taylor awaits legal proceedings as the case continues to unfold.
