McDonald’s Manager Shoots Man in the Neck After Wait Time Sparks Fight

A McDonald’s restaurant in Florida became the scene of a shocking incident, resulting in a man being shot in the neck after a dispute over wait times escalated. The customers, identified as Peter Story, 19, and Nicholas Jones, 18, reportedly became aggressive towards Soto, threatening him after being informed that the restaurant was unable to take further orders due to being overwhelmed with online requests. Despite Soto’s attempts to diffuse the situation and apologising for the delay, the customers continued to escalate the confrontation.
In a disturbing turn of events captured on video surveillance, the situation took a violent turn as Soto found himself in a struggle with Story and Jones inside the restaurant. Soto, in an act of what was claimed to be self-defence, ended up firing his gun, injuring Story in the neck. Sheriff Judd described the unfolding events as a “McRattle” that culminated in a gunshot being fired within the McDonald’s premises.
Following the shooting, the two assailants fled the scene, leaving Soto in a state of distress. Soto, feeling threatened and scared, allegedly tampered with evidence by picking up the shell casings before leaving the vicinity. Consequently, Soto faced charges of tampering with evidence, while Jones and Story were charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct.
